Why investing in a heat pump boiler is a good idea

A heat pump boiler is specifically designed to heat domestic water. It uses heat energy from the outside air (or the air inside an unheated room) to warm the water. This makes the heat pump water heater a very energy-efficient solution. It is 3 to 4 times more efficient than a regular electric water heater.

The system works by using ambient heat from indoor air, outdoor air or ventilation air, where a low-temperature coolant boils and becomes gaseous. This gas is compressed to raise the temperature, then heat is released to the domestic water. An electric post-heater ensures that the water is heated further if necessary, to above 55°C. Because of space requirements and noise, a heat pump boiler is often placed in the garage or basement.
