Spring is soon in our country, and that not only brings sunny days, but also pollen, dust and other allergens. An air conditioner keeps your home at the right temperature, while an air purifier removes unwanted particles from the air. But how do these devices work together? And why is this combination so effective?
In this blog, we explain how an air conditioner and air purifier complement each other and why this combination is perfect for a comfortable and healthy home.
What does an air conditioner do for your indoor climate?
An air conditioner cools and heats your home, ensuring that you can enjoy a pleasant climate in your home all year round. Modern air conditioners, the Innova of AeroComfort monoblock air conditioners, are equipped with filters that can remove dust particles, pollen and other contaminants from the air. But this is often not enough to thoroughly purify the air, especially if you suffer from allergies or respiratory problems
How exactly does it work?Â
An air conditioner without an outdoor unit works the same way as a traditional air conditioner, but performs all the processes within one compact unit. This is done in four steps:
Step 1: Coolant is compressed
The compressor compresses the coolant, raising the temperature.
Step 2: Heat release
The heat generated is distributed into the room via a heat exchanger and fan through a grille at the top of the unit.
Step 3: Cooling down
After compression, the coolant expands, causing it to cool.
Step 4: Heat recovery
The cooled liquid flows through the evaporator, which uses a fan to draw heat from the outside air.
This process repeats continuously, alternately compressing and expelling the refrigerant. This allows the air conditioner to produce hot or cold air, depending on the mode selected.
What does an air purifier do?
An air purifier removes fine dust particles, pollen, bacteria, fungi and even viruses from the air. Many air purifiers are equipped with HEPA filters and activated carbon filters, which help to effectively eliminate pollutants. This contributes to cleaner and healthier air quality, which is especially beneficial in spring (but also in other seasons).
How does it work?Â
AeroConsult uses a technology called ionization. Ions, which are naturally present in the air, play a crucial role in purifying the environment. During this process, billions of electrons are produced per second, which attach themselves to polluted microparticles in the air. This causes these particles to clump together into larger structures, making it easier to remove them from the room via ventilation or air conditioning.
An air conditioner and an air purifier are two devices that are often used separately, but together they can accomplish much more. The air conditioner ensures a comfortable temperature in your home all year round, while the air purifier will additionally improve the air quality. Many people don't realize that these two devices can complement each other perfectly and that they work best when you use them both together. Here's how they complement each other:
How do an air conditioner and air purifier reinforce each other?
1. Improved air circulation and purification
The air conditioner provides efficient air circulation by cooling or heating the room, keeping the temperature constant. While the air conditioner circulates air through the room, the air purifier keeps it clean by filtering dust, allergens, smoke and other contaminants. Together, they provide not only a comfortable temperature, but also clean, fresh air.

2. Healthier air without allergens
An air cleaner is much more effective at removing fine dust, pollen and other allergens than an air conditioner's standard filter. When the air cleaner is in operation, it removes harmful particles from the air before they can disperse, while the air conditioner continually moves and cools the air. This means you can not only enjoy a more pleasant temperature, but also clean air, which is especially good for people with allergies or respiratory problems.
3. Increasing air conditioning efficiency
An air cleaner can additionally improve the efficiency and operation of the air conditioner. By filtering out a lot of dust and dirt from the air, the air purifier prevents the air conditioner's filters from getting dirty faster. This keeps the air conditioner working better and requires less frequent maintenance, which extends the life of the unit and increases energy efficiency.

4. Increased comfort throughout the home
With an air conditioner that controls the temperature and an air purifier that purifies the air, the whole house becomes a lot more pleasant to be in. Not only do you have the ideal temperature, but also fresh, clean air without dust, smoke or allergens. This increases comfort whether you are relaxing in the living room, working in your home office, or sleeping in the bedroom.
In short, the combination of an air conditioner and air purifier offers many more benefits than just managing temperature and air quality. It can contribute to a healthier indoor environment, greater comfort, and even lower energy costs in the long run. Whether it's air circulation, neutralizing odors, or protecting against allergies and respiratory problems - these duos of devices are a smart choice for any household.
